OUR VINEYARDS

From the foothills of the Belluno Dolomites to the sun-kissed hills of Menfi, we cultivate our vines in two distinct territories.

Three gold medals for Podere Aurin: our wines awarded in Rome

Saturday, 11 July marked an important moment in the history of Podere Aurin: Prosecco Brut, Prosecco Extra Dry and Grillo di Sicilia were awarded gold medals at the 2026 Città del Vino International Wine Competition.

The award ceremony took place in the Sala della Protomoteca at the Campidoglio, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, alongside wine producers, local authorities and representatives of the wine industry.

Podere Aurin was represented by winery owner Gianni Gorza and his wife, Maria Teresa.

An award that reflects quality and local heritage

A journey built on care, the pursuit of quality and a commitment to the territories where our wines are born. The three award-winning wines represent two distinct wine-producing regions: Veneto, through Prosecco Brut and Prosecco Extra Dry, and Sicily, through Grillo, one of the island’s most distinctive grape varieties.

Prosecco Brut was recognised for its fresh, elegant and mineral character, while Prosecco Extra Dry offers a softer, more aromatic profile, with notes of apple, pear and white flowers. Completing the trio of gold medals is Grillo di Sicilia, distinguished by aromas of citrus and yellow-fleshed fruit, savoury notes and structure.

Three different expressions, united by the same pursuit of quality.

“Receiving three gold medals in a competition of this calibre makes us particularly proud,” said Gianni Gorza following the award ceremony, highlighting how this achievement recognises the daily work behind the wines and the decision to continue investing in quality while respecting the territories.

And this is precisely what we want to celebrate most.
